Help children to Get Safe

Help children to Get Safe

The ASA's 'Get Safe' campaign gives pool operators the chance to ensure young people know how to stay safe, while having fun in and around water.
Fun, action-packed and informative land and pool based activities will teach primary school children all the important things they need to know when visiting coastal and inland waters, from how they can spot the dangers themselves, and how to act in an emergency.
Register for your 'Get Safe' resource pack which includes a Pool Event Guide with details about what, when and who should be involved, posters to promote the event and certificates to reward the young people attending on the day.
Resource packs will be offered free to the first 400 organisations to register. Pool operators who wish to host a Get Safe event at more than one site will be able to register online for each individual site.
Find out more about holding a 'Get Safe' event.

Are You Using This For High Elbow Freestyle?

[Effortless Swimming] Are You Using This For High Elbow Freestyle?

A friend of mine loves racing cars. He went to track day recently and had an instructor sit with him during a hot lap.

The instructor gave him one tip which eventually brought his lap times down by 7 seconds.

"Brake coming into the corner, set your line, accelarate out of the turn"

Sometimes all you need is to hear one thing for it click. Today's video might be just what you need to improve your high elbow catch.

Watch today's video now

Are you pulling like this?

What's the big deal about a high elbow catch, right?

You probably hear it talked about a lot and that's because it's crucial. You can't be a fast swimmer without it.

It's how you'll generate most of your propulsion because it sets up your pull.

Get this right and feel a difference in your stroke.

Regards,

Brenton Ford
