The ASA's 'Get Safe' campaign gives pool
operators the chance to ensure young people know how to stay safe, while
having fun in and around water.
Fun, action-packed and informative land and pool based activities
will teach primary school children all the important things they need to
know when visiting coastal and inland waters, from how they can spot
the dangers themselves, and how to act in an emergency.
Register for your 'Get Safe' resource pack which includes a Pool
Event Guide with details about what, when and who should be involved,
posters to promote the event and certificates to reward the young people
attending on the day.
Resource packs will be offered free to the first 400 organisations to
register. Pool operators who wish to host a Get Safe event at more than
one site will be able to register online for each individual site.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport have found that swimming has a significant impact on happiness.
Official figures have shown that regularly playing sport is equivalent to getting a pay rise of £1,127 a year.
The most beneficial activity is dancing, worth £1,671 a year, closely followed by swimming, worth £1,630 a year.
Swimming had a more significant impact on well-being than any other sport, almost twice as much as football or cycling.
