approves a new policy later this year.
USC Wins Thriller in NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship Game
BOSTON, Massachusetts. AFTER 45 minutes, 47 seconds of action,
USC's Anni Espar scored the winning goal in the third sudden-death
overtime period of the championship game at the NCAA Women's Water Polo
Championships May 10-12 at Harvard University. Espar's goal gave the USC
Trojans a 10-9
victory over the Stanford Cardinal, earning them their fourth NCAA title
and the first since 2010.
Curtis Ogren Downs National Independent High School Record
SANTA CLARA, California. CURTIS Ogren, a junior at St. Francis,
set a national independent school record in the 200 IM at the CIF
Central Coast Section Championships May 10-11 in Santa Clara. Ogren
posted a 1:45.01, which betters Matt Thompson's 2009 time of 1:45.27.
Rick Colella Posts Perfect 6-for-6 in National Records at Masters Nationals
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. THE U.S. Masters Swimming nationals came
to an exciting conclusion today, as 18 new short course yards national
records fell at the IU Natatorium. Rick Colella made it 6-for-6 in
national records to highlight the competition.
JSerra Takes Down National H.S. Record in 400 Free Relay
RIVERSIDE, California. AT the CIF Southern Sectional meet this
evening, the JSerra girls high school squad took down the national high
school record in the 400-yard free relay.
National H.S. 200 IM Record Falls Again; Ella Eastin Claims Mark
RIVERSIDE, California. FOR the third time in less than three
months, the national independent high school record in the girls' 200
individual medley has been broken, this time at the California
Interscholastic Federation's Southern Section Division 3 championships
at the hands of Ella
Eastin.
China Continues Dominance at FINA Diving Grand Prix
LAUSANNE, Switzerland. THE Chinese delegation in Gatineau
(Que., CAN) occupied the majority of podiums at the third stop of the
FINA Diving Grand Prix 2013 held in the Canadian city for the first time
from May 2-5, securing six of the eight titles at stake. The Canadian
female team also
impressed at home, earning the remaining two titles and a total five
medals.

VALENCIA, California. USA Swimming will have its largest annual
open water swimming extravaganza next week in Castaic Lake in Southern
California.
USA Water Polo Makes Waves; Hires Serbian Head Coach Dejan Udovicic
HUNTINGTON BEACH, California. DEJAN Udovicic has been named
Head Coach of the USA Water Polo Men's Senior National Team through the
2016 Olympic Games. Udovicic, the former head coach of the Serbian
national team, joins USA Water Polo after leading Serbia to a bronze
medal at the 2012
London Olympic Games, his teams' 16th medal in the last 17 major
championship events.
