... si astia "inoata'n Decembre"....

zilele trecute, pe Discovery, se arata o colectie de oameni neobisnuiti:

un neamt calcula mai repede, din minte, de cat calculatorul...;

o elvetianca cand auzea muzica vedea si culori...,

iar unul, nici mai stiu ce natie era... a alergat la Cercul polar, pe zapada, la minus 16 grade si in pielea goala... 21 de km;

ei da, astia sunt 'Supermanii zilelor ns.'..., dar ceilalti care ii postez mai jos, oare ce-or fi...?

Ce-i poate face pe unii sa fie asa de indrazneti cu puterile lor si nu ca noi, zgribuliti,infofoliti si, mai ales, certareti si... nu mai continui.....;

Amin !

Lake in ReadingNEW OPEN WATER SWIMMING VENUE IN READING

There is a fantastic new open water swim venue in Reading about 5 minutes from the Jn11 off the M4. The Tri20 SwimCentre is 400m buoy to buoy, 20.5 degrees, good water depth and has a great clubhouse for tea and coffee afterwards. Follow signs to the Copthorne Hotel Reading as the lake is next to the hotel and park in the hotel car park bays on the right hand-side and aim for the heli pad. You will then see the signs for the club. They are open Tue / Thurs 06:30 - 09:30 and Sat / Sun 07:00 - 10:00 and full details can be found HERE.

PacingSIMON'S TECHNIQUE TIP- CHANGE OF PACE

Conditioning your body to being able to sprint in certain parts of a race while then recovering and assuming your regular speed and rhythm can benefit you greatly in a race scenario as there will be times (race start, turning buoy, finish etc..) where a faster pace will possibly be required. A BIG WELCOME TO CHARLIE! Charlie Lawlor

Charlie Lawlor is the newest member of the Swimtrek clan and we'd like to give her a big welcome! Charlie was a club swimmer as a youngster and coming from the Midlands in the UK (far too far from the sea!), she has now developed a healthy obsession with wild swimming and most other outdoorsy things that involve being wet and/or muddy! After working in construction as a quantity surveyor for a few years she swapped a hard hat for a paddle board and spent this summer as a Beach Lifeguard on Brighton beach before joining SwimTrek. Charlie will be based in the office in Brighton.

LONG DISTANCE TRAINING TOURS - GOZO, MALTA

Under the expert eye of our swim coaches, this training trip is ideal for the open water swimmer looking for a week of intensive long distance training in the idyllic waters of the Mediterranean by Gozo.

Focusing on both distance and technique, our experienced coaches will work with you on improving your performance in the open water. Using video analysis both above and below the surface throughout the week, we will ensure that you leave the trip improved, revitalised and ready for any endurance swim.

Andrew joined us from Adelaide, Australia in 2009 and is now in his second full season with us. Andrew is a very experienced pool swimmer who has competed in breastroke at a high level, but is enjoying his new passion of open water swimming. To read more about Andrew, click HERE.
