Introducing USA Swimming’s Deck Pass October 25, 2011
Swimming has long been a sport about achievements. Now, with the launch of USA Swimming’s “Deck Pass”™, a new online and mobile application, swimmers can easily connect with one another and share their achievements with other members of the swimming community.
Deck Pass™ is an innovative digital application that lets swimmers track their best times, set goals and earn digital patches for their a ccomplishments in the pool. It’s easy, free to use and is designed to let swimmers capture what they’re accomplishing in the water online and then share with their friends and family. Users can access Deck Pass™ online or via a free mobile a
pplication.
Deck Pass™ users can choose to connect their accounts with Facebook to share their swimming milestones with their friends and family. The program is also a great motivational tool that is designed to help guide to swimmers to achievements both in and out of the water. For example, if a swimmer swims a best time at a recent meet, they will automatically earn a digital patch celebrating their achievement.
While Deck Pass™ times updates are automatic for USA Swimming members, the application can be used by anyone. Whether you’re a recreational swimmer, a club swimmer or even a coach, Deck Pass™ has something for everyone!

"se facea ca eram la un concurs de inot in secolul urmator..., bazinul era dotat cu o tehnologie care rezolva ideal atat culegerea a celor mai interesante informatii [ds. activitatea biologica a organismului fiecarui sportiv(FC,TA, Nr. respiratii si volumul acestora etc.), + ds. prestatia efectiva analizata biomotric si energetic (numarul de miscari, tempoul/timp sau lungimea unitatii de vaslire+consumul caloric in Joulli- secvential, pe fiecare lungime de bazin inotata fie pe unitate clasica de timp).... informatii ds. timpul realizat, evident locul inclasament etc. - toate selectate si afisate pe o 'plasma' considerabil de mare pe o latura a bazinului.... si toate aceste date putand fi selectate de spectator pe 'tableta' sa personala, nelipsita, in care afara de inregistrarea video se adunau si aceste date afisate pe plasma, evident cu un comentariu dedus din analiza acestor date, comentariu facut de un robot in baza uui program dotat cu un soft super-inteligent...."
Visul ar putea fi imaginat si cu alte componente legate de pregatirea anterioara propriu-zisa sau de analizele facute la diferite controale (sportive, medicale, anti-doping, teste Psy, etc.).
Asta ar fi visul sau modelul spre care se tinde a se ajunge de cand a aparut "internetu' asta desteptu" si care cere ca fiecare dintre noi sa fim cat mai bine scoliti spre a putea manevra, interpreta tot ce cuprinde aceasta formidabila stiinta care nu are limite...."

LAUSANNE, Switzerland. AFTER an incredible meet that included her first world record, USA's Missy Franklin jumped into the FINA World Cup Overall Standings lead among the women. Meanwhile, South Africa's Chad Le Clos maintained his grip on the overall men's standings.

Chinese National City Games: Wang Shun Posts Strong 1500
Free to Close Meet NANCHANG, China. THE Chinese National City Games came to a close in
Nanchang with one more top 10 time going up on the scoreboard.
Wang Shun finished his meet with his fourth gold medal, after clearing
15:00 in the men's 1500 free. Wang posted a 14:56.92 for the victory, moving to eighth in the world rankings. Li Yunqi placed second in the distance event with a 15:08.98, while Ke Wang earned third in 15:20.14.
Huang Chao touched fourth in 15:36.87.

Pan American Games: Three of Four Finals Feature Games Records, Thiago Pereira

GUADALAJARA, Mexico. THE Pan American Games came to a close with a record-setting evening, featuring three Games records in four finales. Meanwhile, Brazil's Thiago Pereira cracked the top 10 in the world in the 200 back en route to his fourth gold medal.

International Swimming Festival, Aachen: Pieter Timmers, Sharon van Rouwendaal Double Up
AACHEN, Germany, October 16. THE International Swimming Festival came to a close with a third day of short course meter action.
Belgium's Pieter Timmers earned the men's 100 free title in 48.14, then doubled with a 1:46.75 to capture the men's 200 free. The Netherlands' Sharon van Rouwendaal hit the wall in 59.60 to win the women's 100 back, and also doubled up with a 1:57.40 to win the women's 200 free.

USA Swimming Foundation Announces Nominees for the 2011 Golden Goggle Awards

THE USA Swimming Foundation today released the nominations for the 2011 Golden Goggle Awards, a star-studded awards galacelebrating the year's top accomplishments in American swimming. SOUTHERN Methodist University played host to the two-day SMU Classic this weekend, where the Lady Longhorns of Texas swam away with the team title at one of the college season's biggest invites thus far.
