Georgia Sets NCAA Record, Wins Team Title; Arizona Downs American Mark
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. GEORGIA put an exclamation point on its
first team title since 2005 with an NCAA and U.S. Open record in the
400-yard freestyle relay. The American record went to the All-American
squad of Arizona, who finished second, at the NCAA Division I Women's
Championships.

Univ. of Cincinnati Returning Scholarships to Swimming and Diving

announcement today, reinstating full scholarships to three sports

High School State Swimming Championships: Pennsylvania 3A
LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania. SEVEN state records fell during the
Pennsylvania 3A Swimming and Diving Championships March 15-16 at
Bucknell University. Hershey's girls team reclaimed the title they last
won in 2011, while La Salle College High School earned the boys crown
for the second
straight season.

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut. GREENWICH High School earned its second
Connecticut Boys Open Swimming championship title in three years in
convincing fashion. The Cardinals put together 609.5 points to defeat
last year's champion, Fairfield Prep, which scored 426.5 points this

edged out Brookfield for third, 298-292, with Wilton taking fifth
(264.5). The meet was held in short course yards at Yale University.

Poll of the Week: Should the Division I Championships Be a Combined Meet?
PHOENIX, Arizona. THE men's NCAA Division I swimming and diving
championships starts in less than a week in Indianapolis, and we wanted
to know which team you thought could take the team title in what we are
certain will be a close battle. With 40.72 percent of the votes, the
California
Golden Bears were picked to win their third title in a row, while
Michigan was close behind in voting with 33.22 percent. Rounding out the
voting was Stanford in third, Texas in fourth and Arizona in fifth.
More than 6 percent of the votes went to "other," meaning swimming fans
out there believe a
team other than one of these five is going to take it all next week.
We'll see when racing starts Thursday in Indy.
